We are delighted to introduce the Nottingham Schools Trust.

Our guiding principles are to challenge, support and improve our member schools and academies to ensure all our children succeed. Over time we also intend to establish a system that delivers efficiency, effectiveness and growing economies of scale in order to ensure maximum resource is reinvested directly into classroom practice.

As the educational landscape changes at a rapid pace, the Trust provides a supportive and collaborative context within which our member schools can continue to thrive. Consequently, it is right that we;

  1. Challenge and support schools so they can meet increased expectations through mutually supportive intervention and training.
  2. Work to support each school so that they have secure and robust financial and resource management, allowing them to meet their statutory responsibilities.
  3. Support schools to nurture their distinctive ethos which contributes so powerfully to the development of their pupils as rounded and balanced young people poised to make a contribution to society.

The underlying aims of the Trust are to collaborate, participate and respond to the needs of children across the City of Nottingham. Every school, as a member, has a voice in the decision-making process, through the Trust’s open and transparent governance. Moreover, the Trust values the diversity which exists in our schools and actively encourages each school joining the Trust to maintain and further develop its own distinctive culture and identity.
