GDPR Training Sessions for Schools and Academies
These two identical, four hour general GDPR training sessions will cover:
• the General Data Protection Regulation
• the Data Protection Bill
• practical scenarios, how to deal with requests for personal information, what is a data breach and the process for reporting a data breach
• what is a Data Protection Officer? Who needs one?
• Data Protection Impact Assessment.
Trainer – Naomi Matthews, Data Protection Officer and Data Protection Team Leader, Nottingham City Council.
Naomi Matthews, LLB is a senior lawyer with over 20 years’ experience in the legal profession. She also has a recognised Data Protection qualification including the BCS and also holds a practitioner’s certificate in Data Protection. She has spoken nationally at conferences on Data Protection on subjects such as Data breaches and preparing for the GDPR and advises and trains extensively on Data Protection and other regulatory matters including RIPA. She has been commended by external Inspectors on her quality of training materials. Her style is clear and engaging making her a perfect trainer for what can come across as a dry subject. She also focuses the sessions to make them practical and tailored toward the organisation.
